GIVING EMPLOYERS FLEXIBLE OPTIONS: OFFERING INDIVIDUAL INSURANCE THROUGH PRIVATE EXCHANGES

John Fiacco, CEO and Co-founder, CONNECTEDHEALTH
Marne Oberg, Vice President, HR and Corporate Communications, ANALYSTS INTERNATIONAL CORPORATION

Private exchanges are becoming synonymous with defined contribution strategies for employer. In fact, private exchanges can be used to deliver a range of benefits to unique employee populations. Analysts International (AIC), a midsize employer, will describe their philosophy around benefits and how they used a private exchange with group and individual coverage to meet the needs of their benefits eligible employees, non eligible employees and contract workers. The private exchange has allowed AIC to provide a broader array of benefit options and greater transparency in benefit costs for employees. Their defined contributions strategy also helped them reduce administrative overhead, make costs more predictable and make it easier for employees to “right size” their benefits.
