STOP WASTING YOUR MONEY ON WELLNESS PROGRAMS! WHY WELLNESS PROGRAMS DON’T WORK WITHOUT BENEFITS COMMUNICATION

Jaclyn Divine, Benefits Communication and Wellness Specialist, ROOMS TO GO
Bob Ruff, AVP, COLONIAL LIFE

Corporate wellness is the buzz-phrase of the year. The good news is wellness initiatives are proven to have a significant impact on employee benefits costs. The bad news is they don't work if they're not paired with an effective benefits communication strategy. Employee engagement -- the holy grail of wellness programs -- only happens if employees know about and understand their wellness programs. Yet today's reduced and stretched HR staffs, budget cuts, remote employees and fractured demographics are making it increasingly difficult for employers to effectively communicate benefits, especially wellness programs. This presentation will use proprietary and industry data plus case studies to demonstrate how personalized, one-to-one benefits communication can lead to better outcomes, higher levels of satisfaction and a direct effect on the bottom line.
