ON THE EVE OF DISRUPTION: SURPRISES THE ACA STILL HAS IN STORE

Paul Fronstin, Director, Health Research and Education Program, EMPLOYEE BENEFITS RESEARCH INSTITUTE
Michael L. Millenson, President, HEALTH QUALITY ADVISORS LLC AND THE MERVIN SHALOWITZ
Gretchen Young, SVP, Health Policy, ERISA INDUSTRY COMMITTEE (ERIC)

The ACA is complicated and comprehensive, and how the different moving parts interact with each other could have unforeseen consequences that upset the best-laid plans of HR professionals. On this panel, three national thought leaders provide fresh insights into how ACA-fueled surprises could prompt significant changes in plan design and cost. Among the topics are: "Cafeteria Plans Gone Wild," an examination of the impact of private health insurance exchanges; "The Doctors Strike Back," which looks at how the delivery system will attempt to maintain its pricing power; "Rules, Rules, Rules," as the federal and state governments scramble to put new regulations in place; and "Stop, in the Name of Loss," looking at how stop-loss requirements may evolve in the self-insured market. Other topics will be added as timely in a panel featuring extensive interaction of panelists with each other and the audience.
