THE RETENTION DILEMMA: BALANCING COSTS AND EMPLOYEE SATISFACTION

Participants will learn the methodology for workforce evaluation. This proven strategic approach allows employers to strike the balance between the cost of benefits and employee satisfaction by tailoring programs, communications and work environment to the specific make-up and implicit needs of their workforce.  After the presentation portion, participants will be invited to think through the issues of evaluating their own organization's workforce with the help of a printed tool. Attendees will also learn how to:
• Identify gaps where current benefit strategy does not address the implicit needs of predominant populations or the target top talent.
• Evaluate potential effectiveness of certain programs, such as wellness or online enrollment, based on workforce parameters.
• Design benefit strategy in support of long-term recruitment and retention goals of specific population groups identified as the target workforce.
